About HVAC FastTrack
A Practical First Step Into the HVAC Trade

HVAC FastTrack offers a different way to begin an HVAC career.
Our program gives aspiring apprentices the foundational knowledge they need to understand HVAC systems, contribute sooner, and become more valuable to a prospective employer.
You do not need previous HVAC experience. You do not need to understand technical terminology before you begin. You only need a willingness to learn, ask questions, and put in the effort.
[See How the Program Works]
Created From More Than 40 Years of HVAC Experience
HVAC FastTrack was built from more than four decades of real-world HVAC service experience.
During that time, we have seen many promising people enter the trade without understanding the basic systems, components, tools, or terminology they encounter on their first day. Employers often want to train new apprentices, but they also need people who arrive prepared to listen, learn, and be useful.
That is the gap HVAC FastTrack was created to fill.
We are not promising to turn you into an experienced technician overnight. Our purpose is to give you a solid foundation so you can begin an apprenticeship with greater knowledge, confidence, and value.
Learn Without the Pressure of a Classroom
Some students hesitate to ask questions because they are afraid of feeling embarrassed or falling behind.
HVAC FastTrack gives you the freedom to learn at your own pace. You can review lessons, revisit difficult subjects, and ask questions in a supportive environment.
If you do not understand something, we will work with you to explain it in a practical, straightforward way.
The goal is not simply to complete lessons. The goal is to understand what you are learning and how it applies in the field.
What You Will Learn
The program focuses on the core knowledge an entry-level HVAC apprentice needs.
HVAC Systems and Components
You will learn how common residential systems are constructed and how their major components work together, including:
80% conventional forced-air furnaces
High-efficiency condensing furnaces
Central air-conditioning systems
Basic controls and safety devices
Air distribution and duct systems
You will also learn the purpose of important components such as burners, heat exchangers, blower assemblies, inducer motors, pressure switches, gas valves, ignition systems, contactors, capacitors, evaporator coils, and condenser coils.
Core HVAC Principles
Your training will introduce you to:
The refrigeration cycle
Basic combustion principles
Electrical fundamentals
The properties of air
Heat-transfer principles
Airflow fundamentals
Basic system operation and sequence
Common HVAC tools and service terminology
Essential jobsite and electrical safety
Lessons use plain explanations, HVAC visuals, practical examples, short knowledge checks, and assignments to help reinforce what you learn.
EPA Section 608 Preparation
EPA Section 608 certification is important for anyone who will handle regulated refrigerants.
We will help you prepare for the EPA Section 608 examination and assist you with arranging your test. You will learn the foundational information needed to approach the exam with greater confidence.
Passing the examination and earning your certification remain your responsibility, but you will not have to figure out the process alone.
Preparing You for the Employer—not Just the Test
Technical knowledge is only part of getting started in HVAC.
Employers also look for apprentices who arrive on time, listen carefully, follow instructions, work safely, care for tools, and accept feedback.
HVAC FastTrack helps you understand what will be expected of you during an interview and once you begin working in the field.
Our goal is to help you become the kind of entry-level candidate an HVAC company is willing to invest in.
Support Getting Into the Field
After you complete the HVAC FastTrack course and earn your EPA Section 608 certification, we will actively work to secure a minimum of two interviews with HVAC companies willing to consider an entry-level apprentice.
We will also:
Help you prepare or improve your résumé
Explain what HVAC employers are looking for
Give you practical interview tips
Conduct a practice interview by phone or video
Help you communicate your training and strengths
Help identify suitable employers in your area
We will try to locate interview opportunities within approximately 30 miles of your home whenever possible. However, distance may vary depending on your location and the availability of participating employers.
Interview support does not guarantee employment.
Hiring decisions are made independently by each employer, and your effort, conduct, availability, driving record, background, and interview performance may affect the outcome.
Our Commitment to You
We will give you practical information, honest guidance, and a clear learning path.
In return, we expect you to complete the work, ask questions, practice what you learn, and take responsibility for building your career.
HVAC is a skilled trade. Becoming a capable technician takes time and real field experience—but every successful technician began by learning the fundamentals and taking the next step.
HVAC FastTrack can help you take that step.
